Byron Jerome Meiser passed away peacefully of natural causes in his home on September 3, 2026.

Jerry was born on August 22, 1938 in Oak Park, IL to Leona "Eddie" and Charles "Len" Meiser. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Jerry was a gifted auto mechanic running his own auto repair business until May of 1997. He was passionate about his faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He served as a Deacon and a Trustee for many years at the First Baptist Church of Downers Grove, IL In recent years he served in a Ministry to shut in members of his current church, Spears Creek Baptist Church in Elgin, SC. As a devoted father to his children, he was committed to attending sporting events and band and chorus concerts of all three of his children.

Jerry is predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Diane, his parents, and his son David(Laurie). He is survived by his children Patricia and Gary(Adriene), his twin sister Jeanne Rodenhauser and brother Keith(Marydel); his grandchildren Kyle(Shannon), Stephanie White(Matthew) and Emily Coop(Jason); and great grandchildren Nataleigh, Vivian and Evelyn White.

Visitation and Memorial Service for family and friend will be held at Spears Creek Baptist Church on October 17, 2026

at 11:00 a.m.
