Jason M
Do
Feb 12, 2009 — Aug 14, 2026
Columbia
With deep sorrow and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Jason Do, who passed away on August 14, 2026, at the age of 17. Born on February 12, 2009, Jason was a vibrant, ambitious, and generous young man whose impact was felt by everyone around him.A bright senior at Spring Valley High School, Jason was driven by a clear vision for his future. With impressive determination, he worked tirelessly toward the goal of graduating early so that he could begin his college journey in San Antonio, Texas.
Jason lived life with a spirit of adventure. He had a deep love for travel, whether embarking on scenic road trips with his friends or heading out alone to explore new landscapes and gain fresh perspectives. An avid outdoorsman, he was always content with a fishing pole in hand, casting a line into local lakes or off ocean piers. On weekends and after finishing his schoolwork, nothing brought him greater joy than the freedom of riding his motorcycle down open roads.Above all, Jason was defined by his generous heart and unwavering work ethic. He possessed a mechanical mind and a passion for anything with an engine. He took immense pride in earning his own way, working hard so he could independently purchase the latest gadgets and things he enjoyed. Never one to sit idle, he spent countless hours fixing, modifying, and perfecting his own car and motorcycle. That same passion extended to those he loved—he was always the first to lend a hand, whether helping family members renovate a home or fix a stalling car.
Jason’s kindness knew no limits. He was a genuinely caring soul who actively went out of his way to help others in need. During severe storms, when most would stay indoors, Jason was out pulling cars from muddy ditches and assisting stranded drivers who had nowhere else to turn.Jason is survived by his loving parents, Thanh Do and Tinh Vo; his sibling, Scott Do; his grandparents; and his many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his beloved younger sister, Jacqueline Do.
Jason’s legacy of selflessness, curiosity, generosity, and drive will forever live in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community he so freely served. Though his time with us was far too short, the depth of his character and the strength of his spirit leave an indelible mark on everyone who knew and loved him.
